If you knew what we went through to get you this shirt...
One day we we talking about what makes America so great. Jai said it's so great because that's where Minneapolis is, Nick said it's because hot dish was invented in America and Kate said it's because it's soooo big. Then Ian, because he's so much smarter than us (he went to Berkeley, you know) said, "Why, of course it is the competitive and individualistic culture embedded in our liberated American souls." We argued about this a little over Orange Juliuses and animal crackers, Jai sticking with Minneapolis' location in the world while the rest of us sited genetic diversity, the system of checks and balances, the strength of our military, our ability to build online communities, the interstate highway system, the Ferris Wheel. Then remembering that the Ferris Wheel was invented in an attempt to top the design and engineering prowess of the Eiffel Tower, we realized maybe Ian was right. So we devised a plan to hold a contest to find the best design for the Grape Juice Records 5 Year Anniversary t-shirt.
In partnership with AlwaysUrban.com we accepted submissions, encouraged everyone to vote on the design that was not only the coolest design, but also would out do the Eiffel Tower and the Ferris Wheel combined, compiled the votes and announced a kid named Kyle Caird as the winner. And this is his shirt design. And we think it out does the Eiffel Tower, the Ferris Wheel, and the interstate highway system combined... We're not sure if it is better than Minneapolis though.
The design is printed in 2 shades of purple (our favorite) on jet black super soft, 100% cotton tees.
