This debut full length album is the eagerly anticipated follow-up to Curtis’ December 2008 EP, "More Songs About Loneliness." Lovingly categorized as 'Garage-icana', the sounds of Life with the Buffalo range from roaring rock ‘n’ roll highs to desolate lows. Themes of the album intertwine with the themes conjured by the history of the American buffalo. A sense of estrangement from a once large and wild roaming herd and the sometimes lonely, sometimes empowering freedom that results. Motifs of the proud strength of the American west, dirty and natural, vast and brazen, emboldening and suffocating, are featured. Life with the Buffalo is a bold and promising sophomore release.
